Bio/Introduction

Tana Sirois is an actor, improviser and theatre-maker who works at the intersection of art & mental health. She has been  touring the US for the past 10 years with the feminist musical comedy troupe Broad Comedy which has raised over  $2,500,000 for Women’s Health. She is also a company member of the international movement theatre collective, The  How, Artistic Director of Dirt [contained] Theatre Company, and Co-Founder of the arts and culture nonprofit, Culture  Lab LIC. Her one-woman show titled “UnTethered”, about Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, has played in London,  Istanbul, New York City, Brighton, Edinburgh, and is scheduled to play in Barcelona next month. Tana holds a Masters  of Science in Creative Arts & Mental Health from Queen Mary University of London. She delivers keynotes and leads workshops all over the  world that explore how improvisation enhances mental health by cultivating greater trust in the unknown. She values the importance of play, and holds a deep respect for the profound healing power of the theatre.  

Please download Tana’s PowerPoint and share with the venue technicians. Tana will run her PowerPoint off of the venue’s computer.

Please ensure the PowerPoint screen is to the side of the stage or above the stage, so the PowerPoint is visible but not projecting directly onto Tana. (She moves around a lot during her keynotes, and will bring volunteers up onto the stage.)

Tana would prefer a remote control with a forward and reverse button to run her own slides.

Tana will require a lav mic for herself, and a wireless handheld mic for volunteers.

If possible, Tana would like to have writing materials (a pad of paper and pens) at each table. If this is not possible, please let us know.

If you have not already done so, please schedule a time for an AV check at the venue prior to the start of Tana’s presentation so we can make sure the PowerPoint is running smoothly, and the audio is set to the appropriate level.
